Markay

Markay Fairley is a gifted Los Angeles-based musician, producer and music director – known for his heart for creating moments where people encounter Jesus Christ through music.

As a young teenager, Markay got his start in the church playing drums and at the age of 18 taught himself piano. After developing his craft through playing in the local church, Markay began his professional music career in 2007 as a touring keyboardist for artists including NAS, Kenny Lattimore, Chante Moore, Keri Hilson, and Mario. Shows with these artists included performances on The Jimmy Kimmel Show, Late Night with David Letterman, Wendy Williams Show, The Colbert Report, Conan and many other shows.

Today, Markay is the Music Director at Fellowship Church – an innovative multi-ethnic, intergenerational church in Monrovia, California.

Most importantly, Markay is a proud husband to his wife Carmen for 9 years, and father to Gabrielle (6) and Savannah (4). Markay is intentional and passionate about his role as a husband and a girl dad. He seeks out conversations about how to continue to grow and be Her Best Dad Ever.

Hector

Hector is a songwriter and recording artist in Los Angeles, California with his loving wife and four beautiful daughters. He grew up in a little southern California town where he met his wife.

He then went to college for a music degree and got married shorty there after, moving around California for a few years, and then settled in LA where he and his wife of ten years are now raising their family.

He and his wife have four year old twin girls who want to be ballerinas when they grow up, a two year old who’s the life of the party, and a brand new baby girl who’s loved and adored.

Hector loves traveling with his family, making and appreciating music, playing basketball, and going to shows and concerts with his wife.

Markay and Hector

Markay and Hector are close friends who’s families do life together and who share a lot of the same passions. They met several years ago in a church they both served and hit it off; connecting through music, basketball, serving people, and raising their beautiful daughters along side their strong wives. As friends, they seek to encourage one-another to grow as husbands and to be the best fathers they can be. Through their podcast, Her Best Dad Ever, they are inviting the listener into their personal process of learning and growing in their role as girl dads.
